An unfortunate life…

Jey Connors like his older sister, Ester, he was born in Miami, Florida with the rest of their family. He was named Ji II after his father but most people outside the family simply called him Jey. When Jey was 5, his family moved to New York as part of a promotion for his father Ji. Though Jey was at best a painfully average person in Florida, he slipped further into the background in New York. He attempts to associate with others consistently failing and his attempts to get recognition like his elder sister fell largely on deaf ears. The birth of his younger sister, Leanne, did little to help this issue or the anxiety and depression that grew within him. Numerous instances of prejudice, bullying, and abandonment by so-called friends further added to this. Causing Jey to internalize more and more as he dealt with everything alone.

College days…

When Jey finally made the move to college, he was roommates with Henry “Hal” Sharp. Despite Hal’s initial attempts, Jey kept him at arm’s length. The same went for Hal’s friends Darcy Zayn, Rowena Gunma, & Daniel Preston. Though he interacted with them frequently, he faded into the background. The only person he seemed to connect with was a mystery person he met in a chat group. He felt surprisingly relaxed around them and was the first person he came out with despite knowing the risks. When the pair planned to meet, he discovered it was in-fact Hal he was speaking to. While their meeting was meant to be strictly physical, the pair grew closer and eventually became a couple. For the first time in his life, Jey was able to relax and be free from his mental prison even if it was only temporary. His mental health began to slowly improve and he became more interactive with his group of friends. Eventually, due to Hal’s prodding, he was introduced to video games.

Professional Gamer…

Despite his initial hesitation, much of Jey’s free time quickly became dedicated to gaming and improving his skills. After years he finally found a talent that let him stand out. He excelled at LAN Parties and consistently reached semi-finals in whatever tournament he entered. To his surprise, one of these tournaments was being used as a recruitment tool by the up-and-coming Team Moon Fox. Jey hesitated at the thought but support from Hal led to him accepting the offer. He soon met the other members of Team Moon Fox in Silver Plains but regressed back to his meek self. It took months before he was able to properly associate with them. Like the other active members, he was given the choice to live in their special housing when it finished construction upon graduating from college. Jey declined the offer and instead elected to move in with Hal. Using their combined incomes to afford a nice place within driving distance.
